Plaster Complete

We couldn't wait to get up and see the house after being sent a few photos by the supervisor this week showing us that the scaffolding was down and the plaster had started. Footie Friday (public holiday) and a perfect 27deg spring day seemed like the ideal opportunity.

Wow, what a difference it all makes!

Garage tear down is nearly complete.
Just a bit of wall with the window in remaining at the front.
New garage should start next week.

  1. Hi Nick,

I came across your blog from the forum and saw as we are looking at building a rochford as well. I noticed that the wall on the 1st floor garage side had brickwork, did you have to pay extra for it?

    1. I'm not sure where you mean as some people call the ground floor the 1st floor, but we didn't pay for any extra brickwork except for extending the width of the garage by 2m. It may be facade specific though, so bear that in mind also. they built the house first and then added the garage on at the end, so essentially all walls of the house are brick with a brick garage tagged on the side. Hope that helps.
